All tonneau covers offered by Duraflex are designed as aftermarket accessories intended exclusively for off-road and show use. Duraflex assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury resulting from the use of these products. Due to the nature of fiberglass and the manufacturing processes involved, Duraflex tonneau covers are not “direct bolt-on” parts. They may require additional preparation, such as sanding, shaving, filling gaps, or other custom bodywork. Installation may also involve modifications to vehicle components to properly fit the new tonneau cover.
Tonneau covers for convertible cars often require custom hardware, fasteners, and gaskets, which are not included and must be sourced separately to ensure proper attachment and a secure fit. Depending on the design, you may need to drill, use adhesive, install fasteners, and apply gaskets to achieve a weather-tight seal and proper alignment. If reinforcement is needed, it should be applied to the fiberglass-reinforced areas to ensure durability and secure fitment. Proper installation is critical for long-term performance and maintaining the cover’s functionality, especially in off-road or high-stress conditions.
For the best results, Duraflex tonneau covers are often best matched with other Duraflex body components, ensuring a consistent design and fitment across the vehicle. Using mismatched parts may result in fitment issues that affect the overall aesthetic and performance of the vehicle.
While tonneau covers can enhance the aesthetics and functionality of your vehicle, Duraflex strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling fiberglass components to ensure proper fitment and safety.
Duraflex tonneau covers are designed strictly for off-road and show applications. Due to stringent Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, many of these products are not street legal. Duraflex does not endorse or recommend the use of tonneau covers on public roads or highways.
